After entering for the first time in 2013 and gaining a Bronze Medal, we returned to Cake International for a second time in 2014 with a 5-tier, 7-level cake in the wedding cake category. We are delighted to announce that we came back with a Gold Medal which means our cake scored over 90% of the available marks.

The cake itself was designed to be an evolution of our previous design. To be fair, it is quite a long way from our traditional mantra of ‘details on a blank canvas’ but I wanted to challenge myself to do something exceptional and never seen before. It featured hundreds of hand-made sugar flowers, thousands of sugar dragees, over 30 pieces of delicate sugar cage work and took well over 100 hours to complete.
